So I’ve kind of been watching this fan-made trailer all week. It is quite possibly the best one I’ve seen ever. No real spoilers, just epic awesomeness worthy of the Doctor.

How have your holidays been? Mine have been busy.

BluThunder asks:
With the debut of Galilea, one has to ask the inevitable of everyone involved willing to answer: Favorite Star Trek captain? Annnnnd go.

For me personally? Don’t laugh. Janeway.

Happy Non-Denominational Holidays to everyone out there! How did you all spend your weekend?

Alina writes:
I get the mothership podcast through iTunes and manually add the square image of the Horn of Geek!Plenty to serve as the podcast’s album art on my iPhone. I was wondering, though, if you can add that or any other of your images to the iTunes feed on your end so that all episodes automatically come with it? I know it’s possible for podcast episodes to come with cover art because some of my other podcasts do.

I’ve been feeling all sorts of productive lately. Two – soon to be three – audio dramas, scheduling a bunch of appearances on podcasts, and getting all my holiday shopping done in one weekend. (No, not this weekend. This weekend was procrastinating in wrapping said presents.)

Then, of course, I start looking for well-done recontextualization videos. Mostly for shows with credits in the style of other shows. The Buffy-style credits are popular for things such as Doctor Who, Charmed, and interestingly How I Met Your Mother, but sometimes anime credit sequences can be some of the most fun when gotten right.

Aloysius Pseudonym III writes:
If I wanted to pitch a project to Made of Fail Productions, how would I go about doing that? And what would joining the family really entail?

[Mailbag Mondays] All we need is a dilapidated tree

The holidays are just around the corner. They’ve been just around the corner since November 1st, according to stores and that one radio station that blasts Christmas music 24/7 for two months. But if you don’t go shopping often and you avoid that radio station – like I do – it means you’re able to attune to the holiday spirit at your own pace, and not get burned out about it.

Hence, I’ve been queueing up the Vince Guaraldi Trio a lot this week. And making plans to telecommute Hanukkah with my mother this year since I won’t be able to stop at my parents’ house after work. Lighting the candles over Skype? We live in the future!

What do you guys do to prepare for the holidays?

Benjamin writes:
Hopefully you guys aren’t sick of me by now, but I had another bit of free time and another idea (as I get here and there), and, well, sometimes you get the urge to create something. So this one’s for the Deconstructing Moya site…I must admit to knowing next to nothing about Farscape (although it’s on the horizon to check out), so I hope this passes muster with the MoF Farscape fandom. In other words, hope you all like it. Thanks again for the continued awesomeness.

[Mailbag Mondays] It’s referred to as the “Whoosh Cut”

Why is this not being spread around the internet? Puppets reviewing horror movies! Come on, people!

Breanna writes:
I’ve apparently started watching Doctor Who around the same time Dayna did (when she mentioned Blink, I looked into it). I’ve just finished season three with its little OMGWTF little twist of information at the end there. I will definitely go back and listen to the Doctor Who podcast. Which season was on when that episode was recorded? It was 37 (though if there are other DW eps of MoF I’ll definitely look into them). I dismissed DW for a while before I sat down and watched Blink and I’m so glad I started watching it. (And yes, when I watched Doomsday I cried like a baby.)

That was Season Five, also known as the Matt Smith and Karen Gillian Comedy Hour (feat. Rory Williams: Kid Awesome).

First heavy snowfall of the season. I don’t care what anyone says, there’s something absolutely magical about it, and I’m as giddy as can be when I see it every year.

Also, the following is one of the most frightening things I’ve seen ever.

Hey, everyone! Dayna here for this week’s Mailbag Monday. So I had to see Breaking Dawn yesterday for the review, and that’s what this week’s emails deal with. Of course, we record Tuesday, so I couldn’t go into detail, but…well, just wait for it.

Onward!

Sarah writes:
Hola Dayna,Kevin,Cleolinda and whoever else Dayna has bribed to come on to the show! I’m sure by the time your reading this you’ve talked about Twi-hard horror stories and complained about how mind blowingly awful it is untill it seems like there is nothing good to be found it.

Given the first-time nature of this column, we don’t have that many pieces of mail to respond to this week. So instead, watch my sister totally rock her high school V-Show. (She’s seventeen.)

Rowan Bristol asks:
The last time I was on your show, Dayna touched me and now I have a rash somewhere uncomfortable. What should I do?
Is it true that Adam is made of delicious entrails?
How many ghost peppers does it take to kill Kevin?
