And now, it’s time to meet this week’s guest:
Some say…
All we know for sure is, he’s called The Stig Adam Griffith.
(For best effect, imagine this being read by a middle aged British car enthusiast)
What is your role in Made of Fail Productions?
Currently, I’m a creative consultant/voice actor/researcher for the upcoming MoF original production Star Trek: Galilea, as well as a general purpose minion for Kevin and Dayna. I help get rid of the bodies, intimidate witnesses, make delicious peanut butter fudge… You know, standard production assistant stuff. I’ve also contributed my “expertise” on various matters as a guest on the podcast before all the cool kids started doing it. I’m also the slacker behind the chronically delayed Paint-Bit Theater and have contributed to Deconstructing Moya.

I’ve been feeling all sorts of productive lately. Two – soon to be three – audio dramas, scheduling a bunch of appearances on podcasts, and getting all my holiday shopping done in one weekend. (No, not this weekend. This weekend was procrastinating in wrapping said presents.)
Then, of course, I start looking for well-done recontextualization videos. Mostly for shows with credits in the style of other shows. The Buffy-style credits are popular for things such as Doctor Who, Charmed, and interestingly How I Met Your Mother, but sometimes anime credit sequences can be some of the most fun when gotten right.

If I wanted to pitch a project to Made of Fail Productions, how would I go about doing that? And what would joining the family really entail?

New post at Deconstructing Moya!
John and Chiana get stuck in a virtual reality game while Scorpius causes a spot of trouble on Moya.
No. No no no no no, you can’t make me follow Tessa. Did you see that thing she wrote? That was amazing! The pinnacle of self-talking-ness! There’s no good way to follow th- we’re live?
…
Hello, ladies.
What is your role in Made of Fail Productions?
I am a Deconstructor of Moya, filling the role of “guy who loves the series to death and is totally looking forward to this week’s review because it’s going to be nuts.” (“John Quixote“, guys. It’s this season’s acid trip.) I am the emergency backup guy, kept in a spare closet for those times when a man is required for a difficult, dangerous, or slightly humbling task. I’ve done some camera work for the show. The director for that piece was fantastic, very specific in what he’s looking for, would definitely work with him again. And I’ve been brought in a couple of times as a resident expert on the World of Warcraft. By “expert” I mean “I play the game a lot”, and by “resident” I mean “where did Sunday go?”
I am also the wielder of the Beard of Destiny. It is a heavy burden, but one that I carry with pride.

The holidays are just around the corner. They’ve been just around the corner since November 1st, according to stores and that one radio station that blasts Christmas music 24/7 for two months. But if you don’t go shopping often and you avoid that radio station – like I do – it means you’re able to attune to the holiday spirit at your own pace, and not get burned out about it.
Hence, I’ve been queueing up the Vince Guaraldi Trio a lot this week. And making plans to telecommute Hanukkah with my mother this year since I won’t be able to stop at my parents’ house after work. Lighting the candles over Skype? We live in the future!
What do you guys do to prepare for the holidays?

Hopefully you guys aren’t sick of me by now, but I had another bit of free time and another idea (as I get here and there), and, well, sometimes you get the urge to create something. So this one’s for the Deconstructing Moya site…I must admit to knowing next to nothing about Farscape (although it’s on the horizon to check out), so I hope this passes muster with the MoF Farscape fandom. In other words, hope you all like it. Thanks again for the continued awesomeness.

New post at Deconstructing Moya!
When observing a wormhole, Moya is caught by a ship-eating fungus that drifts through space. As it tears its way through the Leviathan, the crew tries to balance repairing the ship with repairing their own relationships…
Dear listeners:
It saddens us to inform you that one of us has recently experienced a terrible tragedy. Brandi, a.k.a. sirius20_81, recently gave birth to a baby girl named Leelu Shea. Tragically, Leelu died less than an hour after she was born due to complications in her heart.
We at Made Of Fail consider our listeners our extended family, and we try very hard to take care of our own. So we’re doing a donation drive to help Brandi and her family. We can’t turn back time and make everything better, but what we can do is try to make day-to-day things a little easier while she and her family take the time to grieve. We hope this will help take care of things like hospital and medical bills, funeral arrangements for Leelu, and any other care the family needs.
If you cannot donate money, please repost this wherever you can, and leave a comment expressing your sympathies and/or prayers. You are in our thoughts, Brandi, and we hope this helps even the tiniest bit.
New post on Second Time Around!
“A Game of Thrones – Jon and Daenerys”
Summer snow swirls around the castle’s grey walls. Wind howls and its howls are answered by those of wolves. Inside the walls it is warm, but quiet. Too quiet. Jon Snow makes the climb as if it were for the last time. It is. There is danger waiting ahead for him. A monster with claws and teeth that tear at his very soul. His wolf won’t save him, no one will save him, and he would turn back, but for the love that motivates him in this quest.

Why is this not being spread around the internet? Puppets reviewing horror movies! Come on, people!

I’ve apparently started watching Doctor Who around the same time Dayna did (when she mentioned Blink, I looked into it). I’ve just finished season three with its little OMGWTF little twist of information at the end there. I will definitely go back and listen to the Doctor Who podcast. Which season was on when that episode was recorded? It was 37 (though if there are other DW eps of MoF I’ll definitely look into them). I dismissed DW for a while before I sat down and watched Blink and I’m so glad I started watching it. (And yes, when I watched Doomsday I cried like a baby.)
That was Season Five, also known as the Matt Smith and Karen Gillian Comedy Hour (feat. Rory Williams: Kid Awesome).
