Welcome back to Flashcaps, where we review previous seasons of the CW’s The Flash.

In this episode, Team Flash and the Thinker go head-to-head. It doesn’t end well.
Spoilers under the cut.
The Plot: Team Flash searches for the last bus meta, the Folded Man, as Ralph begins to question just how far they should go to stop DeVoe. Harry is becoming addicted to his thinking cap. It all comes to a head as DeVoe infiltrates S.T.A.R. Labs and gets to both the Folded Man and, finally, Ralph. Team Flash mourns their friend as the Thinker’s real plan is put into motion.
The Good: A lot. I really enjoyed this one. Ralph questioning whether they should kill DeVoe felt organic and appropriate for someone who was trained in lethal force. Given that Joe had a similar experience with his ex-wife, his recognizing Harry’s addictive tendencies was a nice touch. Iris being a fucking badass is always welcome, and stabbing herself with the sword Marlize is holding just to turn around and use it to knock Marlize out? Epic.
The Bad: Did we really need an homage to The Dude?
There’s really not a lot to complain about this episode. The season arc is moved forward significantly, Ralph is dead, and we’re left questioning what will happen next. Surprisingly, I felt a little sad at Ralph’s passing. Credit to the writing staff and Hartley Sawyer for turning the character around.
Next week: Citizen Cold!
Seasons 1-5 of The Flash are available now on Netflix. You can find George Hatch on Twitter @Raeseti. He didn’t use a special Halloween name because Twitter’s already scary enough.
